JOin our team!
Senior Business Development Manager
Location: Zaventem; Belgium – Hybrid, with regular international travel
Employment Type: Part-time independent contractor
Start Date: Immediately, as soon as possible (to be confirmed)
The role
Double Pass helps football federations, leagues, clubs and governments build better talent development systems. We’re looking for a sales hunter who owns our sales funnel from first contact to signed contract: someone who finds the right leads, knows exactly where each one stands, keeps them warm and converts them. And who keeps measuring what works, so every next initiative converts better than the last.
You sit right between Sales, Marketing and senior leadership, and you’re the one making sure all three know where every lead is and what happens next. Credible enough to sit across the table from a federation’s decision-makers, hands-on enough to log the meeting and send the follow-up the next morning. We’re not looking for a smooth talker. We’re looking for someone who asks good questions, listens, and keeps chasing qualified leads until there’s a clear yes or no.
What you'll do
- Hunt for the right leads. Build a growth plan by region and target group, in line with our business development strategy, and go after qualified opportunities through your network, direct and cold outreach, events and referrals. Qualified beats quantity.
- Own the funnel, from contact to contract. At any moment you know where every potential lead sits, what it needs to move forward and who follows up. No lead goes cold because nobody picked it up.
- Measure, learn, adjust. Track what each sales initiative actually delivers, from outreach and campaigns to events and proposals, and use those insights to improve conversion. If something isn’t working, you say so and change it.
- Connect Sales, Marketing and leadership. Work with Marketing to turn campaigns, events and inbound interest into qualified leads, feed back what you hear in the market, and give leadership a clear and honest view of pipeline and forecast.
- Turn opportunities into deals. Build proposals, tender responses and pricing together with our football experts, and bring in the Partners to close.
- Grow what we start. Develop clients from their first service, whether Audit & Analysis, Education & Mentoring or Implementation & Advisory, into our other service lines, and secure renewals and multi-year, league- or federation-wide agreements.
- Keep the CRM and your market view sharp. Set up and manage our CRM, keep the data clean, and run pipeline and forecasting from it. Follow market trends and competitors, and represent Double Pass at international congresses and client meetings.
Who you are
- A hunter, humble about it. You go after qualified leads with confidence and persistence, and you don’t need to be the loudest voice in the room to win the conversation.
- Commercial and outcome driven. You care about the numbers behind a deal: conversion, follow-up, what’s stuck and why. Improving the process is part of the job for you, not a distraction from it.
- 4+ years in business development or sales, ideally with sports organisations, and a track record of hitting targets and generating qualified opportunities. You can tell us how you did it, not just that you did.
- Experience with consultative, longer sales cycles: negotiation, deal structuring, proposal writing, and working in a CRM every day.
- Experience selling to football clubs, leagues or federations, and a network of decision-makers in international sport, is a plus.
- Comfortable at executive level and equally comfortable doing the groundwork yourself. You like building structure in a small, growing team.
- Happy to travel internationally on a regular basis.
- Fluent in English and Dutch. Spanish, French, Portuguese or Arabic is a strong advantage.
