Building value from the core

A National Standard for Saudi Talent Development

September 24, 2026

On 16 September 2026, Double Pass and the Saudi Arabia Football Federation (SAFF) officially launched the Club Academies Program — a nationwide initiative that will benchmark, support, and elevate club standards across the entire Kingdom, reaching 68 clubs across three league divisions.

Over a 2026–2030 programme period spanning three audit cycles, every club will receive a comprehensive, personalized assessment and access to expert advisory support — replacing fragmented, club-by-club approaches with one consistent national standard for player development. It’s a partnership that reflects something Double Pass has seen across many of its federation projects: the potential is often already there. What’s missing is the structure to turn it into consistent, measurable progress and value — for clubs, for players, and for national teams.

“Saudi Arabia has tremendous ambition today to further develop its football. What makes this project special is the scale on which we can do this: we’re not working with just one club or one academy, but with 68 clubs within a single national framework. At the same time, this isn’t simply a matter of copying a European model. Our role is to contribute our experience and knowledge, work with local experts to determine what works in this context, and thereby enable sustainable development at the club level.”
