Uefa honours Germany for its work with youth academies
On December 7th Germany will be presented with the
Maurice Burlaz Trophy for excellent work with youth
academies. This Trophy, that is awarded every other year by
the European Football Association (UEFA), is given to the
country with the best youth academies in Europe. Germany
takes the honours from Spain who won the award in 2007.
For German football it’s a reassurement that, together
with the clubs, they’re on the right track when it comes to
developing young talent. Besides the recent success of the
German youth squads (u17, u19 & u21), Matthias Sammer
believes that the work with the youth academies is also
having a positive effect on the A-Nationalmannschaft and the
Bundesliga.
We’re proud to be a part of this success story and will
continue to contribute to this great project through Foot
PASS Deutschland. We would therefore like to wish them the
best of luck in the future!
