Foot PASS England: independent auditor for the
Academies in professional clubs
Foot PASS England is recruiting a team
of experienced individuals to carry out independent audits
of Academies at professional football clubs in England. Foot PASS England is the independent standards
organisation (ISO) appointed by English Professional
Football (the Premier League, the Football League and the
Football Association) to undertake the auditing of Academies
under the new youth development system which will be applied
at the start of the 2012/13 Season (all subject to final
approval).
We are looking for professionals to carry out independent audits of Academies
at the professional Clubs in England. Each audit will
require attendance at a Club over a four day period, as well
as pre-audit work and the formulation of quality reports. The role will be
carried out as a self-employed provider of services to Foot
PASS England and involve nationwide travel. The roles
are to commence from March 2012.
Key tasks, which will be the subject of a comprehensive
training programme (February 2012), will
include:
- pre-audit analysis and evaluation of the
Academy
- on site verification of information provided by a
Club, including the interview of different
stakeholders (the Board, management, coaching staff and
players) and a practical audit of facilities and
delivery
- evaluation of training sessions at the Academy, and
matches, as well as the education and welfare provision
- production of an audit report
- feedback and discussion with the Academy and
other representatives of the club.
We are looking to recruit a team of relevant individuals
with the following qualities:
Skills & Knowledge
- Relevant experience in professional football
coaching and / or Academy management and develoment
- A thorough understanding of the principles of youth
development and management in a professional football or
other sport environment
- High level analytical, communication and
organisational skills
- Independence and confidence in the audit process is
vitally important, and the role will require the
applicant to have no current role or relationship which
compromises this
Qualifications & Training
- Essential: Applicants should hold at least
UEFA B Licence
- IT literate ability to use Microsoft Office
- Desirable: UEFA A Licence or Higher education

Personal
- Strong personality and good presence, an attentive
listener, decisive, objective, highly self-motivated,
sound business ethics; Proven ability to work both
independently and within a team structure
- Full, clean driving licence; The role will require
weekend and evening work so require flexible time
management
